This project entails the reform of a public building, which current usage is as a Occupational Cáritas Center, to transform it in a public neighborhood library.

The group of houses in the Barrio de las flores neighborhood was projected with the idea of managing its coexistence with the Cantones and the creation of an elevated path, sunny and protected from the wind. In order to maintain the main idea of its architects, Corrales & Molezún, the ramp is keeped as the central axis of the building, preserving its length to the rooftop and considering it as an external element, but at the same time with an hour limitation use in order to prevent vandalism.

To achieve a major relation between the interior an the exterior, transparency, brightness and continuity are sought. This purpose is fulfilled with the creation of open spaces and the usage of materials such as concrete, very present in the buildings of the neighborhood, and glass, which serves as a division and adds visual cohesion between the spaces too.
